The big threat for today is keeping the fire from jumping the Rampart Range Ridge. Mountain Shadows still in danger. The Air Force Academy is not being threatened. Woodland Park threatened. This all depends on how the winds shift. Another hot, dry day. This is so scary. We watch t.v. constantly to see what is happening and if Jan is being evacuated. Smoke fills the rooms of our house. Normally the smell of campfire brings a smile to my face and thoughts of family fun. Not now. I woke up at three am to close the windows as the smoke was sneaking into our house. It feels like it is sneaking into our lives as well. Pictures I have collected off of facebook thus far.

I just heard the Flying W burned down. That makes me so sad. Glad to see you and Tom and the girls are safe for now. You'll be in my thoughts.
